Navratri, nine nights dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, Lakshmi and Durga, was celebrated with Enthusiasm and Reverence. The Vijayadashmi festivities started with the Thematic Decoration of Kolu Dolls. The Kolu depicts stories from our Mythology and History.
The 2022 Kolu theme ” Panch Bhoota Sthalangal ” depicted the five temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Each temple represented a manifestation of the Five Prime Elements of Nature: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.
Angkor Wat Temple complex in Cambodia was also on display. It is the Largest Religious Monument in the world. In all its Magnificence and Grandeur, this Extraordinary monument held a Special Place in Kolu decoration.
The 44th Chess Olympiad with Thambi was the Center of Attraction. This Kolu celebrated the Chess Olmpiad organised by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) in Chennai.
