On August 17, 2019 Mr. Prashanth Krishna, Executive Director and NIOS Coordinator of The C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation, and Mrs. S. Jayanthi, Administrative Officer of Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre attended the Annual NIOS Coordinator meeting held at Omega International School, Kolapakkam, Chennai. Dr. Bhavani Shankar, Senior Principal represented Omega International School and hosted the event.
The orientation program was aimed to:
1. Introduce NIOS and its flexibilities and advantage as an alternate schooling.
2. Role and functions of accredited institutions.
3. To motivate the coordinators to advocate NIOS to encourage more students to join.
4. To discuss 100% online process in NIOS and to clarify any doubts regarding functioning of study centres.
Mr. P. Ravi, Regional Director-NIOS and Mr. S. Vijaya Kumar, Director – Student Support Services addressed the gathering. It was an eventful day and a day of great learning and acquiring of knowledge.
The event ended with the national anthem.
