The Navratri celebrations at Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre wore a festive look with decorated idols aesthetically arranged in seven steps. Parents and children took turns to see the beautifully arranged golu. On the last day of the festive season, children came dressed in traditional attire which added to the festivities. They also sang slokas and bhajans in unison. Ganesh Vishwanathan, our alumnus, visited the golu and sang beautiful devotional songs which were a treat to the ears. ‘Prasada’ was distributed to students, staff and all those who graced the occasion with their presence. A special ‘Thamboolam’ with beetle leaves, fruit, kum kum, turmeric powder and a small gift was also given in return. What was special in it was that our students made the eco-friendly bags with old newspapers and jute ropes.
We convey our heartfelt thanks to all those who visited us during this special occasion. 🙂
