When sculptures spoke stories – 26th February, 2016

It was that time of the month to take our children on an educational tour. It is when their thirst for learning is at its peak. What could be a better learning experience than witnessing and exploring what’s in textbooks and blackboard? We decided to take them back to the ancient era and a stroll down to lane of history.

Mahabalipuram and tiger caves, it was!!! The students of Preperatory III and IV were taken on a one day trip. They had an opportunity to visually see and tactically sense what they had seen in prints in their History text books. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip, playing, learning and travelling back to the Pallava period. On the whole, visiting one of the world heritage sites not only gave them a break from chairs, tables and blackboards but also added to their repertoire of learning and memories.
